Scottie received her Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Central Florida.
She has been an outpatient therapist since her graduation in 1997.

Scottie has specialized in the treatment of lymphedema since 2001. Additionally, she implemented a Lymphedema support group which continues to meet monthly. In 2009, Scottie met her professional goal of achieving national certification as a lymphedema therapist from the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA). Currently, she is the only LANA certified therapist in Lake County.

Bhawna Khirbat, DPT

Certified Physical Therapist

Dr. Khirbat graduated from the University of Rajasthan, India with a Bachelor of Science degree. She received her Doctor Physical Therapy degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Khirbat's special interest include the treatment of cervical and low back pain, Multiple Sclerosis, balance disorders, and sports-related injuries. She prides herself on getting her patients better faster by using most evidenced-based interventions. Dr. Khirbat enjoys promoting a healthy lifestyle, traveling, dancing, and spending time with her family.

Physical Therapist Assistant

Duane is a Physical Therapist Assistant who works with helping patients who are recovering from injuries and illnesses using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.

 

Duane graduated with an Associates Degree in Physical Therapy from Taylor College in Belleview, Florida. Duane is versed in treating a variety of ailments with a focus on orthopedic care.

 

Duane enjoys working out and has a strong interest in physical fitness that translates well into the care and treatment of his patients.  

Jeannette Fisher

Jeannette Fisher, COTA

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant 

Jeannette has been employed with Physio Med since 2006. She earned her degree as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in 1998 from Daytona State College, and is a member of NBCOT and AOTA board. Jeanette is also a licensed Massage Therapist. She has experiences with a variety of conditions such as: rotator cuff tears, shoulder impingement/rotator cuff tendinitis, frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger.  

When not working, Jeannette enjoys boating on the chain of lakes and spending time with her family.

Vance Forde

Vance received his Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Central Florida Community College.

 

With over 20 years of experience, he has been practicing in the outpatient rehab setting since graduating in 1996. Vance has extensive experience in working with orthopedic and neurological conditions.

Mike Janes graduated from Taylor College with his Physical Therapy Assistant Degree in 2017.  Since graduation, Mike has worked in Outpatient Rehab treating a wide range of diagnoses including: CVA, Parkinson’s, Orthopedic surgeries, balance/gait dysfunction, just to name a few. 

 

Mike has a strong desire to perfect his manual therapy skills and therefore has been attending courses and has been training under several highly experienced therapists since working at Physio Med Outpatient Rehab.

Mike has lived in Lake County for more than 45 years.  When he is not working, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children.

Vanessa Washington

Vanessa Washington, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Vanessa graduated from Florida College of Natural Health in 2009, earning her license and certification in Massage Therapy.

 

In 2015, she advanced her education and received her Associate of Science degree in physical therapy at Keiser University.  Since graduating, Vanessa has gained knowledge and experience in outpatient and inpatient settings as well as pediatrics.

 

She specialize orthopedic conditions.   Vanessa looks forward to continuing her education in the treatment of lymphedema
